Keith Pierson Toyota Health Approach

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected around the world by this horrible virus.

It was suggested to us by a valued customer that we share information on what we are doing now and have done for the last 20 years to keep our FL Toyota dealership as clean as possible for our customers and associates. While most businesses have only a night cleaning crew, we have always had a full-time cleaning staff. They start at 6 a.m. and work until the close of business, seven days a week, to ensure our Jackson Toyota dealer remains clean and as germ-free as possible the entire time we are open for business. We also have and have always had hand sanitizer available at every touchpoint in the dealership.

What’s the Best Way to Sanitize My Car’s Interior?

We’re now using TRANSFORM®, an EPA-registered and FDA-approved Antimicrobial Sanitizer, on all new vehicles, parts and equipment that we receive. Additionally, every Keith Pierson Toyota customer who gets auto service or purchases a vehicle will have the option of receiving a complete disinfection with TRANSFORM®. This sanitizer eliminates germs, bacteria, mold, mildew and viruses from high-touch surfaces, as well as the vehicle’s air vents.

How to Disinfect Surfaces in My Car

According to the World Health Organization, studies suggest that the coronavirus may live on surfaces for a few hours or up to several days. That means that you should be sanitizing the interior of your car to kill any germs it may have collected on your last visit to the grocery store or pharmacy.  Most common EPA-registered household disinfectants will work well for sanitizing your vehicle. Just be sure to read the product's label to make sure it's safe for the surface you're planning to use it on. The most important areas of your Toyota to keep clean are the dashboard and the steering wheel. Other high-touch surfaces include:

  • Door Handles
  • Door Buttons
  • Key Fob
  • Steering Wheel
  • Inside Door Buttons
  • Seat Belts
  • Gear Shifters
  • Touchscreens
  • Buttons on the Dash
  • Buttons for Lights
  • Buttons for Windshield Wipers
  • Glove Compartment

Our Dedication to Cleanliness

In light of the coronavirus, we have elevated our vigilance in keeping this dealership as clean and germ-free as possible. Though we have always had a warm, family-like atmosphere at our dealership, we have encouraged our associates to have limited physical contact with our customers and one another. Please don’t take it personally; everyone’s safety is our No. 1 concern. In addition, we are increasing the frequency of mandatory handwashing for associates. We have also asked our associates to be highly vigilant in their personal lives and to avoid large crowds to prevent any possibility of contact. Most importantly, we have implemented a policy that any of our associates that were on a cruise or airplane during the news of the outbreak or any associate showing signs of illness were given a 14-day holiday away from the dealership to ensure the safety of our customers as well as our associates.

We realize your automobile has become one of your safest means of transportation. We will continue to be open to serve our valued customers in sales and service and we will be vigilant in keeping our dealership as clean and germ-free as possible.

Thank you for your loyalty.

Sincerely,
Keith Pierson
